Orthodontics

Crooked teeth or occlusion (over or under bite) can result in serious complications to your health such as damaged teeth, sore jaws, and chronic headaches. Orthodontic treatment straightens your teeth and corrects bite issues to improve the look of your smile and prevent long-term health problems.

Metal braces

Metal braces are the tried-and-true orthodontic treatment. The braces are cemented to your teeth and then connected by wires and elastics. They slowly pull your teeth into correct alignment.

You’ll need to visit our office every month during your treatment to have your braces checked and adjusted. Treatment with braces can take from two to five years depending on the amount of correction you need.

Invisalign

Invisalign aligners provide the same type of correction as braces, but they use transparent plastic aligners to straighten your teeth. The aligners slide over your top and bottom teeth and gently guide your teeth to the proper alignment.

Invisalign is a good choice for patients who don’t like the appearance of braces. They are also removable, so you can take them out while you are brushing your teeth or eating.

You will need to visit our office regularly for a new set of aligners with a slightly different configuration. Each new set adds a bit more pressure to your teeth to align them. Invisalign treatment takes approximately the same amount of time as braces.
